In glancing at this, as I have no idea what I am looking for, I do see a lot of games, poker and bowling etc I have never put more than my jigsaw puzzle and bejeweled on my pc. I don't play the other ones at all.

You are brilliant!! After running the fix log most things on internet began to work! I even could click enough to run the free online scan. About 25 min into the scan it showed a threat was found and then around 1 hour it timed out! I stayed up and started it again and while it took almost 2 hours to run it found no threats. By then I had to go to bed. This morning I found facebook was again working and the internet seems to be working like it's old self. I can't burn dvd's but am going to put the burning program and videos on hubby's pc, with a sworn blood oath that it will not hurt his pc, and can do them that way.
Guess with all of the trash found on the pc it was good that I couldn't burn! Somehow another "thing" got on the pc and I was getting really big banners across the entire bottom of the screen selling whatever kind of items I might be looking at. Or stuff I would never look at in my life. I found that and used the uninstaller Revo to take it out.
I can even attach things again!!
Thank you so much. If you can think of anything to help with letting me burn videos on my pc I would appreciate it but fixing the internet and the trash in the pc has been huge. I am forever in your debt.

I am sorry I thought I had the right one. This is the S1 you wanted.
If I just click on the burning program like I used to or right click and open as run as Administrator I get this message: " You don't have permission to open this file. Contact the file owner or an adminstrator to obtain permission."
I at first thought some file was somehow protected by the uploader but I have tried files I had already burned in the past and had not checked the dvd's to be sure they worked.

Still no change! Are there any other things I can do to gain permission to burn dvd's again? I would appreciate any other ideas other than trying to set a restore back a few weeks. Then I have to get rid of the entire trash can of garbage again. I know that I can't ever get all the junk gone on my own. I know it was a long holiday weekend in America and I really didn't expect that you worry over the problems I have.
