I am looking at the 2 I did put in the first but in the languages it didn't have English! I also couldn't see my avi files even though I clicked on create dvd. I am also wondering if it burns for the european countries in PAL. I am joining the forum but am waiting on an email. The second doesn't list avi files nor do I see where I can make it PAL. We have always bought the US and Pal playing dvd players for the tv but if we can't find one some day I would have dvd's I couldn't use. Have lots of reading I guess. Thanks for looking for me.

I downloaded both of the ones that had the Pal alternative. found the first was easier to use and that is what I need. But sadly I can not load any of the videos to the freeware program. I get the same Need permission notice. I was so hoping it would be something in the convertXtoDVD program. But now I have some lovely options and none of them work. It makes no sense how one day I burned some cartoons for my Grandson and the next day went to burn more and it said I couldn't-
Just thought I would let you know what happened.

What I would do is create a new Admin-level account to operate under to see if the permissioning problem persists. User Account - Create - Windows 7 Help Forums

If satisfactory then move your files over and eventuallly delete the old account in User accounts.

If this fails work through the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 leading up to if necessary getting a perfect reinstall using the same steps as for Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Oh boy what a total mess. I didn't realize that I would lose everything! My email was filled with emails and folders of things I kept and info I needed and that was wiped out! I need to put everything in again and that will take time. I did move the user folders over to the new administrator account and rebooted and then tried the burning program and of course my program is gone. I used the one I put in yesterday or the day before and that still says I need permission from the administrator etc. Just a thought if I would sign in as the old administrator and move the files back would my email etc all show up again? I will have to come back here to check for any replies. OH yes and my IE has no file, edit tools etc. So I can't change the size and I have trouble reading so it is very difficult. Also I have a home page I hate etc. How do I get those things back? No Favorite button they just all show up down the side. What do I do please? Thank you.

Why would you lose everything? The advice was to move your files over and take all the time necessary to make sure you have everything before deleting the old account "eventually."

If you didn't delete the old account yet then google how to transfer your specific mail program and it will tell you what file it's stored in and how to move it. If you can't find it tell us your mail program and we'll find out for you how to move the mail, settings, bookmarks, etc. Most people use webmail which is stored on the service's site, so this is not necessary.

IE has condensed all of the controls into the Gear icon on the top right, but if you want the Menu bar just rightclick on a blank area of that same bar and choose it, or try the Command Bar which is similar.

Under Tools (or the Gear icon) choose Internet Options to set your Home page on the General tab, Favorites will show up on Menu or Command bars. To populate your Favorites copy them into the new User accounts Favorites folder.

It would have been nice if you'd even told us if your issue is solved before getting hysterical about the "Compete mess" we caused you. We fix these issues here every day. There is nothing we can't fix, which is why this is the top tech forums on the web.

If you use IncrediMail the link below will show you how to backup your data and restore it

How do I transfer all of my IncrediMail files and settings to another computer?

I wasn't hysterical or a bit angry and I did not delete any of the things. It was midnight, I had been in so much pain all day I had to have help walking and when I saw everything in that stupid email program gone again ( it does it on it's own just to bug all of us who paid for it) Incredimail is a mess and I should know better than to store anything in the files there. I am so terribly terribly sorry, I wasn't blaming anything on you, I think I was upset with myself as I know there are ways to get back the thinks on IE that went missing but I don't remember. I am sorry my anger was at myself I know I don't have early onset alzehemiers but my pain and lack of good sleep cause so many of the symptoms and when you can't do things you used to find easy it gets hard. I will spend the quiet times today putting things back, seeing if I can find my old IM otherwise just live and learn. My other things in the users folders were all there on transfer as far as I can tell. My losing everything was the many many folders I kept things in in my IM program. I should know better. It is no longer user friendly and the help and support even for paid members like myself is often nothing and well you don't want to know. I will get back and let you know what has happened under the day.
I am sincerely sorry that you thought I was upset with you, it was myself for not remembering what to do. Not even how to reset up my email! Don't get old!! Thank you so much I do appreciate every minute you spend on helping me.
