I don't have a printer we can't afford the ink. Is there a private email you can message me that I can send the copy I made on my email? I can copy and paste here maybe like I did some of those other scans that wouldn't attach??
Where above did I say to print with your printer? Please read carefully what I write because nearly everything I say is misinterpreted no matter how carefully I phrase it.

OK go ahead and copy and paste the Belarc report into the reply. Make sure your Win7 and Office Product Keys are deleted before posting them, but save the Office Key on your end.

There is nothing in the drop down menu by the printer and I should have said that. I am having really bad painful days and my mind just doesn't do what I plan on it doing. I know I upset up you and am really sorry. I said we didn't have a printer as I was thinking you would suggest that it be scanned onto the desktop. Also I did put save as on the desk first and when that was not accepted I tried the email. I will wait between answering from now on until I am positive I have actually explained what I did and that I try to do exactly what you say. I will start copy and pasting now. I just ran a new one to try to find the XPS document in the printers drop down file it really isn't there but I can't do a screen shot to show you as of course it closes as soon as I move my mouse. I am sorry.

I am not upset at all Bonnie. The place to choose XPS Documents Printer is in the box which pops up after you click Print - you'll see a Printer menu at the top where you choose which printer you want to use for the job. XPS Document printer is always there even if none others are. You may have to scroll to find it.

If you'd like I can connect to do this for you. Just Private Message to me the TeamViewer ID and Password. If it's getting too late to have me do this tonight then just send it back tomorrow and leave TeamViewer open on the desktop. I'll look over your Office and other installed software to discuss with you via chat what needs to be reinstalled.

Update after 6 hour TeamViewer-assisted reinstall

I'd like to keep a running account in the thread since otherwise helping via TeamViewer can cut out others who are helping or also wanting to learn.

I'm still not sure we ever got a booted install with the problems you had booting the disk, but if it's crisp and responds well without hanging or any issues it may be good to go the way it is. One way we can tell if it was run from C as I suspect is to look in the C drive for a windows.old folder. This may come in handy since it archived the entire previous OS including all of your files in case you need to retrieve anything later. We can then help you delete it once sure you have everything.

Edit: Windows.old is there, 300gb and infected. Latest connection proves that spyware had eaten the last OS. Some of the converter, downloader, etc. bundles she wants installed set off MSE.

Maybe you can set up your online email you said you wanted to start on internet Explorer so you get that going. If you don't have one in mind I suggest Yahoo.com or Outlook.com mail which offers unlimited storage for free.

If you need help copying your files back into their folders I can demonstrate that for you if you ask. I suggest using the Documents, Pictures, Music, Downloads, etc folders under your C:\User Name as this organizes things where you can find them intuitively.

Make notes using the Sticky Notes I put on your desktop/taskbar for any programs you notice are missing and want. It's going to be important to limit yourself to the recommended programs so you dont' get into another situation where spyware eats up your browser as it had, so I'll show you how to install programs like these without allowing anything else to sneak in.

To Everyone watching permission to burn dvds

Thank you to everyone! So many of you jumped in with good suggestions and ideas and I tried every single one of them. Near the end gregrocker jumped in and found what I had said all along, I have terrible memory and processing powers from the severe pain and exhaustion I feel most of the time. I can read what to do and then get to the spot and have to go back and read again and then I do a half screen and try to do things from there. So many abbreviations everyone in the world uses need to be looked up and written down etc. He decided he would have to help me with the Team Viewer and I was so happy I cried. I have had more problems and the stress was rattling more than ever. When he would tell me to back up something I wouldn't know where to find it to back it up and then was it to be burned or just put on my external. If you get what I am saying poor greg must have been ready to cry himself.
Finally things were all backed up for a clean install but I couldn't get it to boot it didn't matter how quickly or often I pressed the key or keys it just went to start page. Finally something happened and I was on my way to a partial reinstall. Greg was hooked into my husbands laptop writing what I was to do and I was balancing that laptop on my recliner arm and since I need a desk top to be able to see the screen and text I have it rigged up with my keyboard in my lap and mouse on the arm of the chair. It was not easy and I could barely read from the laptop. Poor Greg. Finally he could come into my pc and I have rarely thanked God so much as when he came in and could do things. I can honestly say if it had not been for that help I would have been taking the pc in to be repaired for $100 and 45 min round trips done 2 times with gas at over $10 a gallon.
The good news is that my pc no longer keeps requiring authorization from the administrator.
This group and tutorials that you have is a God Sent. With such step by step tuts I can manage some of them as I run into questions. Don't have a printer or that would be a big help. Thank you to everyone and to the Administrators who allow the team viewer in this group. God Bless!! Bonnie

Hopefully the last letter asking for help in programs

I had suggestions for free AVI to DVD burner in PAL from Guy but when I downloaded the first it didn't work, the 2nd actually said it was burning in PAL and of course the DVD didn't work. I am going to buy the ConvertXtoDVD program unless someone else knows of a freeware one that actually will work in Europe. There is a free one that says it is the less bells and whistles that the paid for one but that burned a DVD that didn't work either.
Yes I checked every addition off Greg and I uninstalled with reveo and I checked the account manager in Internet and did run the programs to make sure I didn't let anything in with my trial and errors yesterday. All is fine.
I have used the MiPony downloader for years and years. Greg told me it was riddled with spyware and not safe to put in. So I need help in what to use. No money left after I buy the convertXtoDVD program.
    Any suggestions?
Last question. I know that I have been told in googling for help and by Greg etc that the list in the Control Panel. But since I started with computers so many years ago I have always had the control panel home setting and I had no trouble finding things. Now it is like I have been blindfolded. I look forever.
I set it for categories but it doesn't work. What am I missing?
I think that is enough questions.
    Thank you for any help.

What happened to the converter we installed from the clean download I found at the actual author's site? Wasn't that the one which had all the spyware added by CNET which set off MSE, so I aborted? If not maybe Bill can help you with the one he suggested, or someone else can suggest one and help you install it safely.

I had suggested you not use Revo since Win7 Control Panel>Program and Features uninstall is sufficient and Revo can over-reach into your Registry so I don't use or recommend it any longer.

As I recall we installed MiPony also from the author's site here: Mipony - Download the program. It was on your desktop the last time I connected.

To set your Control panel to always open in Categories instead of the fold-out menu on Start Menu, rightclick a blank area of the Start Menu, select Properties, then Customize, then under Control Panel tick "Display as a link." This is how you'd customize any of those Start Menu buttons.

Sorry I thought we forgot to put in Revo! I will remove it. Again I don't remember that you found a MiPony I could use. I thought it was put on the desktop and we forgot to take it off. I am so glad you remember these things Greg now I have MiPony back. You know how tired I was that last evening. Goodness had gone 3 days with almost no sleep. As far as the avi to dvd in Pal converters and burners, I tried to convert and burn and while the programs acted fine, had them set to pal etc the dvd's did not play. They said that they would burn to PAL.
We got a video converter but that changed strange file forms to something I could use. Leawo - that one didn't do anything with PAL.
I am glad you saw this. I do thank you for your help. It is so late here and I can't get my emails straight yet. But trying. Gotta go to bed before it is time to get up. I will have to check back here to read mails since my email is gone right now. Thank you!!!!

Someone here will hopefully know the converter you need to show the video cartoons to your grandkids on the television. The PAL apparently is specific to Europe so maybe our European colleagues will come through.
