HELP is this safe? I can't get my own server mail into my Incredimail account., I know it is crap but I paid for it and I make email stationery using part of incredimail and send it out to a group I own. I make it so it shows up in most other email servers. I called support from my server and I have everything set correctly.
Incredimail support said I should install Thunderbird Mozilla instead. Is this a good server? Years ago I left IE and went to Mozilla because people were saying how much better it worked and it crashed my system and I ended up getting a new pc. My server support said that is what they suggest people use now. If I get that I can still get support here or does it change. I would still have windows 7 but not IE. right? Will hold off a bit and hope one of my friends here can tell me to do it.

Mozilla Thunderbird is NOT a server, it is an email program just like Incredimail. has nothing to do with your Browser ie Internet Explorer. I think you are getting cnfused between Mozilla Firefox which is a browser like IE and Mozilla Thunderbird which is an email program! Just Google "Mozilla Thundrbird" and all will be revealed! It makes no difference what Windows operating System you have.ourse you will still get support here! You say quote:
"I know it is crap" What is, Incredimail, or where you have your email account hosted? If you are talking about Incredimail that is free so you didn't have to pay for that!
If you can't configure your email account on Incredimail i doubt you will do it on Thunderbird. All Email programs follow roughly the same confoguration process. Have you got the correct incoming (usually POP3) and outgoing (SMTP) server details. You then need your password and user name, usually your email address. You then should be given deatils from the email server of whether you need server authentication etc.
    EDIT
Just a note, don't post your email details or address on the Forum. You will be flooded with spam emails if you do!

Yup it was FireFox that did it. Ok IncrediMail has a letter creator and I make letters that the top header, a framed picture usually for me, stays in place and there is a footer with artist info, copywrite for the picture etc. My groups name and how they can join. Along with it came a premium which meant no ads showing up all the time. I got it so many years ago I think it was $55 or something back then. It was lifetime. I still have fun making stationary when I have really bad days and can't do anything else here. You can tell today is not great for me. Only 4 hours of sleep and lots to do. Then I feel more pain and sort of fuzzy I hate it. Thank you my friend I will put it in since IM support says that often works. My server said I had everything filled in correctly with codes and port numbers so it is IE once again, which just crashed again. Will let you know how it went. I didn't think I would end up being such a needy person. Sorry.

But Internet Explorer is nothing to do with Incredimail. To use Incredimail you don't need to have IE open so how can it cause a crash?

Mitchell65. No I didn't know that. There are you tube downloaders all over the place. I thought it was fine. Strange that they don't allow cartoons from 1941 and old Christmas movies that were made for tv and not found on dvd to be downloaded. Life doesn't make sense.
Nothing srange about You Tubes rules at all. You Tube provide free service to us it's users. We can upload videos and view as many as we wish all at no cost to us. So how can You Tube provide this free service, it must cost them millions of dollars!!! But You Tube make their money from advertising. Evertime you go onto to a You Tube page you will see lots of adverts on that page. Every time You Tube records a visitor to that page the advertisers pay You Tube a fee. Now if you or anyone else downloads a video from You Tube and views it at home or passes it on to someone else then that is one or more less visitors to the original page. So You Tube looses money. That's why they make the rule that downloading from their site is against the rules. Straightforward commercial common sense.
I know there are downloaders on the internet as there are for Peer to Peer downloading, ie uTorrent. The software is legal, it's what people do with it that is often illegal. There are some (very few) legal reasons for using these downloaders though!

I think it would be a good idea if you start a new Topic regarding these crashes you are having. This thread has changed direction a few times and now bears no relationship with the Topic Title. A new topic named perhaps.
"Internet Explorer and Incredimail crash without warning" or something meaningful like that!
Please also give a few more details on the new thread like the version of IE you are using and when you say "Incredimail says it is not responding and closes down" Are you sure it says "Not responding" because normally it wont shut down unless you go into task manager and tell it to! Plus details of exactly what you were doing immediately before the crash! This is very important. The more detail you give the better the help we can give you!

Please System Restore to the last time it was working correctly.

If this works take note of what you installed since then, which it will list, and don't reinstall it or if you do seek our help since something was likely able to sneak in to hijack your browser.

The install was working perfectly after we completed setup. I spent about eight hours working on it. Something installed since then has affected your browser and may be affecting the OS.

Most of this crapware you're installing is not needed and as Mitchell has pointed out some even breaks Youtube's rules.
