Can't open .exe, regedit and .misc files in admin account

I accidentally changed the restrictions in gpedit.msc to enable listed files. when I restart my computer the admin cannot also open any .exe files. Error says “This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.”

I still open some files like firefox, notepad, wordpad but not the command prompt, .bat files, registry and .msc..
I try to run it in safe mode but i cannot access it.
Is there any way to reset the gpedit to default by deleting some files in folder?

    Please help

    Hello px01,

You could use Option One in the tutorial below to completely reset group policy back to default using a .vbs file.

Local Group Policy - Reset to Default

    Hope this helps, :)

Double check to see if your Windows Defender service is still set to "Started" and "Automatic".

You would get the message if the service isn't started and running.

In addition, double check to see if you have "Restart the Service" selected for all 3 options like below in the "Recovery" tab in the Windows Defender service properties.

You have to "Enable" and "Start" the Windows Defender service instead of stopping and disabling it.
