Back to the clean install for a minute. If I were to buy a new windows 7 ultimate disk and install that, would it be the same as doing a clean install with the .iso from the site you linked.
It depends, If you noticed the "media refreshed" .iso's they are continually updated with the most recent operating system updates.

If you went out to buy one you would have to check and make sure it at least included ServicePack1.

Would I just install it right over top of what I have right now? How about the drivers. Could I use lets say double driver backup and reinstall from that once the install was finished.
You could install over top, but see my first answer.
Driver backups for specific situations would be handy, but 7 already has enough drivers included that it should get you up and running.

I have a 100 gb Data partition right now tht I would really like to keep. Would that be gone on a clean install from either thing I mentioned?
Yes, a clean install would format the drive. Unless by "over top" you mean to do a Repair Install.

One of the .iso's that you linked or a clean install from a new win 7 Pro or Ultimate disc. I would really hate to lose the data partition if I didn't have to. It has a wealth of info on it.
If it is that valuable, and it was me, I would have at least 3 copies of it before I did anything to my machine.

Is this screenshot of the .iso what I would use if I were to do it with my key right now instead of Ultimate or Pro?
Your system specs are incomplete, you're only showing Windows 7 home premium. Do you have a 32bit or 64bit system ???

From the limited amount of information you offer, I can only assume you will need this:
    English version, Windows 7 Home Premium x86 SP1 U (media refresh) X17-58996.iso

If you insist on using a 64bit version you will have to run the unlocker mentioned in Step1 of the Clean Install Tutorial, but why waste a 64bit OS if your machine wasn't built with 64bit capabilities? It may run, but it will not run as well.

Someone more paranoid than me. I laughed when I saw that "I would have at least 3 copies of it before I did anything to my machine". That's Windows. I went to see a Tek friend today to talk to him about all these problems I was having and he tells me, "Buy a Mac Randy". I hate when he says that. Obviously he hates Windows, but I would probably be bored with a Mac. By the way, My machine is a x64. When I mentioned the 100gb data partition I didn't want to lose I wasn't talking repair, I was thinking a custom install? By over top I meant right over the Win 7 HP x64 that's installed right now. I would boot to the install disk and choose the custom install, but I think when Greg mentioned it earlier there was an either or there on the matter of the 100MB Reserved partition It all gets so confusing. With a brand new Windows 7 install disk Ultimate or Pro it would come with a reserve partiton right? Not to mention I still have recovery discs from Acer. I will have to think about all this.
