    Windows 7 issues

A while ago I had upgraded to windows 7 via ITT-Tech's student download site. My key did not take at the time but the computer still worked and i had a busy schedule and eventually forgot all about validation. Now I have graduated, but key will not work to validate windows.... Any suggestions?

I would call Microsoft and have them check it out.

I suspect that it is 30 days after installation in which period the OS has to be activated. He apparently never activated it.

The fact that his key does not work can only be clarified with Microsoft. But it also very easy to make a mistake when you type the key - has happened to me several times. Typical mistake is to mix up an 8 with a B.

I had copy and pasted the key, and i am getting Error 0xC004F063. It is a possibility that since I graduated that I may no longer be able to use the windows 7, that is something i have yet to explore.

Try typing in the key and not pasting it. Check each character using a magnifying glass if necessary.

If this fails, call MS at the Phone Activation number I gave you earlier. They will let you know if the key is valid.

If not your options are to buy another key to insert for the same version or reinstall the licensed version which came with the PC if the Product Key is still readable on the COA sticker. Vista ISO download
