My Opinion on Windows 8

    Tbh, I just ended up Stardocking my copy. Lots of cool features that suits my 5760x1200 desktop.

    I've never really minded using 3rd party apps.

    No, they've never bothered me much, you had to use them to get the best from 3.1, and I've been happy to use them ever since.

    I use Classic Shell on Win 8, but decided to give 8.1 a go without it.

    Watching TV using Windows Media Center is one of the best Windows 7 features - so they leave WMC off Windows 8 (have to buy it). Also the Windows 8 stupid tile GUI is a pain if you have a ton of software, because there's no folder structure so you have pages of tiles.

    If the first thing you have to do with a new OS is make it look like the previous one, then that's a fail.

    For the first couple of months after W8 was released, they were offering WMC for free.

    I grabbed it then, and it still works in 8.1

    If you have to pay for a program to make it look how it should then that is a huge fail.
