Burn to Disc Change My File Names

    Hi,
First time this has happened. All the file names were changed to 6capital letters, an ambersand, a number, period, file extension. Example PROJEC~1.XLR. Now I don't know what the files are and I will have to open each one and find another way to save them.

But - What Happened? Why did this happen? Some new 'update'?

How can I change it back?

    Sorry, and thanks,

    Barbara

The filenames with the tilde are known as "short filenames." It looks like the file system type for the disc has gotten changed to ISO without the long filename support. Try imgburn freeware. In the file type settings it has check boxes for long filenames, directory depth etc..
