    Color Calibration, problem.

    Dear all,

I have Windows 7 Professional 32-bit RTM (build 7600) (latest updates)

    I went to Personalize> Display> Calibrate color>

I then calibrated my color be decreasing the gama etc etc etc, and it works fine. but if i restart my computer all that i have done resets back to default.
Does any one have a clue whats going on, and if there are any possible solutions.

    Thanks,
      My Computer

First, be sure you are not a Guest user. Then go to to the Windows orb or press the Windows key and type "color management" and press enter. Under "Devices > Profiles associated with this device:", what is listed?

I am not a guest but the administrator.

    It says:

I am having exactly the same problem. I am the administrator. Windows 7 Professional. Every time I reboot my laptop I have to recalibrate the color.

I was having the same problem. On startup my Vaio laptop display had a red hue. I would change this by going into Intel Graphics Media Accelorator properties and tweak the settings. However on Startup it would still revert to the reddy hue display.

I then used the windows calibration tool. But I would end up with an error message: "The devices page has been refreshed due to a hardware change"

I also reinstalled the drivers yet this had no effect.

In the end I did manage to fix this problem by doing the following:

CONTROL PANEL > HARDWARE AND SOUND > DEVICES AND PRINTERS

double clicking my VAIO Laptop opened up the VAIO control center.

    DISPLAY> COLOUR MODE SETTING

Deselecting "Change to optimal color mode automatically"

    then

Select : "Select from following color modes:"

Select: "Do not apply color mode"

    This fix worked for me.

"Have a Vaio too and I am having the same problem, but can't find Color Mode Settings"? Could you direct me to another way of getting to the settings?
