    Disappearing Taskbar

My taskbar keeps disappearing. I keep using the task manager to bring it back (or to access what is open), but I need for it to stop disappearing. The start menu button remains giving me access to programs etc. Every so often, it reappears.
I have tried tweaking the registry as suggested in some web sites for this issue, but none of that works. I'd rather not reinstall the os.
The problem is most prevalent when the pc turns off the monitor and hard disks, but does not sleep or hibernate. It has done it during sleep. And the taskbar will sometimes reappear when it resumes from either power saving level. I never let it hibernate - the feature is disabled.
The pc runs three operating systems (don't ask why). And this does not happen to the other operating systems: Vista & Server 2008 R2. Also, this has not occured on my other pc running the exactly same version of 7.
I'm not sure what's going on or what caused this to happen. If it helps, I uploaded a screen capture.
    Specs:
    AMD X2 5600+ 2.9GHz
    8GB RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce 9400+ 512MB Graphics
    LG Blu-Ray/HD-DVD SuperMulti
    WD RE2 320GB & Samsung 640GB hard drives
    Asus M3N78-VM mobo
    Buffalo USB Wireless N
OS: Seven Ultimate, Vista Enterprise, Server 2008 R2 (all x64)

    A little vague...
I know about drivers, os corruptions, and software conflicts, but I need help reaching a solution.
Need some specific help here. Specific examples of causes would help. I need to fix this.

You did lock it and not autohide it, right? Just asking, sometimes one overlooks the most obvious.

    Disappearing Taskbar

I would like to add the same problem as everyone else. I have been using Win 7 for two months without a problem. I suspect that the screen saver is the culprit. I started using it about the same time as the disappearing taskbar stated. When I leave the computer idle and come back the taskbar was gone. Windows support was no help to me today.
