The license on the COA is valid for the lifetime of THAT PC.
You can re-install as many times as needed, "within reason".
If you do re-install too often causing an activation problem, you can call MS and they will work with you to activate it.
If you have to re-install that often to cause this issue, well, something's wrong in what you are doing.
When you get a clean install, create a System Backup Image, and use that to restore rather than another re-install.
The only way to settle the issue of whether or not holst's copy of Windows is legitimate is to run the MGADiag Tool: Windows Genuine and Activation Issue Posting Instructions
Post the result's here and we'll get someone to check the results.
I had this problem like a year ago :I
I didn't find the problem that was causing the random wake ups, but I narrowed it down to 2 things: The BIOS or the PSU(Battery/ charger).
And my random wake up's happened after midnight, so maybe a task was doing it?
Look in your Task Scheduler :)
My Laptop had a similar problem.
What i did was lurking in the BIOS and turned off automatic updates, but cant recall exactly what it was called.
Reinstalled Windows and it has worked since then :)
