The license on the COA is valid for the lifetime of THAT PC.
You can re-install as many times as needed, "within reason".
If you do re-install too often causing an activation problem, you can call MS and they will work with you to activate it.
If you have to re-install that often to cause this issue, well, something's wrong in what you are doing.
When you get a clean install, create a System Backup Image, and use that to restore rather than another re-install.

The only way to settle the issue of whether or not holst's copy of Windows is legitimate is to run the MGADiag Tool: Windows Genuine and Activation Issue Posting Instructions

Post the result's here and we'll get someone to check the results.

I had this problem like a year ago :I
I didn't find the problem that was causing the random wake ups, but I narrowed it down to 2 things: The BIOS or the PSU(Battery/ charger).
And my random wake up's happened after midnight, so maybe a task was doing it?
Look in your Task Scheduler :)

My Laptop had a similar problem.
What i did was lurking in the BIOS and turned off automatic updates, but cant recall exactly what it was called.

I don't know if this is the correct forum to ask this...

But I recently reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my ASUS K53SD Laptop

When I'm home I plug my laptop into a VGA cable and plug in a keyboard (Logitech K340) and a mouse (M325).
When it is plugged in to this, the laptop is open, and when I shut down the computer completely (no charger or anything, though the VGA cable and the mouse and keyboard is still plugged in. But I turn off the mouse and the keyboard every night)

A few nights ago the laptop suddenly booted randomly.. I use wireless internet connection so it can't be the "Wake on Lan"-error. I have a theory my self that it might be because i leave the laptop open during the night, but I would like to hear some more qualified about and that is why I now ask you guys.
    Thanks

    That's great news, but,

What was the elapsed time between But I recently reinstalled, and A few nights ago? Keep an eye on it, I hope not but your problem may return.

If your machine can go longer than the elapsed time, then I'd say you're okay.
