Do you actually see the users when you start up the computer or are they just folders?

If you see them , see this tutorial.

Then I wouldn't worry about them. If they really annoy you check whether the folders are empty, if they are you are allowed to delete them exept the ones that are actually the ones for the accounts.

And I'd probably run a virus scan or something. If you didn't create the folders it's possible a virus may have.

Which partition or disk are you booting from?
Normally the Boot partition/disk is the "C" drive.
You are showing User folders on the "L" drive.
For me the User folder is only on my "C" (OS) partition.
(I don't use any external USB drives)

Can you post a screen print of Disk Management?
Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image

It would also be helpful and less confusing if you change the label to something meaningful.
Labels of "New Volume" don't indicate what that disk/partition is used for...

Can't help you with that, Never seen that happen before. Looks like a more common problem with Microsoft Windows Server. Probably just a delay somewhere. Do you have your computer connected to a Domain?

Windows (OS) should be in the "C" drive for an OEM PC such as your Sony Laptop.
Did you do a re-install of Windows on the laptop?
