Hide folders from users
I have taken away the rights, however the folders are still visible to other users.. How can I fix this?

If you go to a folder and right click it, it has the option under the general tab to hide the folder, you could use that.
That hides the folder globally. I don't want to do that.
Isn't there some right I can change to not list the folder in Group Policy?
I believe that if you are on an administrator account, you can right click the files and go to the security tab. There you have the option to edit the file so that its contents cannot be listed to certain users/usergroups.
actually, I have already taken away list rights as well as read rights.. I thought that would have taken care of it...
With rights you have to be carefull to remove the list and execute or other rights from the actual user and any groups they belong to the main one is "everyone"
If you wish to disallow only certain users but not the everyone group then you will need to use the deny option against the particular rights for the users concerned.
Warningincorrect or over use of deny privilege can cause total lockout of all uses from a resource. please ensure you only apply this at a sub-level on user by user basis and only to the minimum number of resources required
