Win 7 64 bit : computer keeps freezing

This evening my computer started freezing randomly. Everything on my screen would freeze up and audio would freeze up as well. This lasts for a second or two, then everything resumes.

I checked event viewer but found no errors at the time of the freezes. Any ideas?

Esp. with hw related issues it generally saves time to fill in the specs. Avoids "do you have this or that" questions trailing down the thread.

Filling this out, at least partially, will save a lot of time. Another advantage is when posting a new problem, the person answering can just click the My System Specs link in the bottom of your post. No need to search for the information.

If you have multiple systems just indicate that in the System Specs so that we know why many of the fields are blank.
