Can anyone tell me what happens to their quick start icon when they open a browser?
Mine disappears and is replaced by the browser I opened.
For me this is wrong. The browser should open after the last quick start icon. Right.

    Joe,

I'm missing what you mean by your "quick start icon". I don't see any icon missing from your two screenshots. Which icon got replaced by the browser when opened?

If you mean the IE icon being to the right of the opened Firefox buttons, then are you able to drag and drop the IE icon to the left of the Firefox buttons/icons?

    Joe,

Not true at all. The tutorial below can help show you how to add Quick Launch to your taskbar in Windows 7. :)
