    Can't create new folder

I can't create new folders anymore as there is no folder option when I right click. This problem has been going on for two or three months now. Thanks - any help is appreciated.

Hello Neil, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Did you use the restore option in step 5 of that tutorial?

If so, try again making sure that you completely approve merging the .reg file. If you click on No or Cancel on anyone of them by mistake, it will not work.

I finally got it working - I selected 'No' in a window that was appearing every time I opened the user account. I'm sorry that I can't tell what the 'allow' warning was about or said, as I was just desperate and was trying anything...

    Thanks for all your help!

An 'allow' window still opens whenever I open my user account. Though I click 'No' or 'X' it out, it still opens whenever I open my user account.

I found the culprit: Systweak; Advanced System Protector. I mistakenly downloaded this program when I first replied to the thread... And now I can't get it off my computer.

I tried Control Panel > Programs and Features where it doesn't exist.

I tried Program Files where it doesn't exist.

I tried the registry where it exists but can't be deleted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Neil,

I'm happy to hear that you got the New Folder issue sorted.

As for Systweak, you might see if it's listed in your startup programs. If so, then either delete or disable it to prevent it from running at startup to no longer get it's "Allow" window at startup or after log in.

Thanks, Brink. I tried all you suggested with no good outcome.

Through the registry I found that where 'Systweak' was listed, 'Advanced System Protector' was also listed, which coincidentally was listed in the Control Panel > 'Programs and Features' and I removed the culprit program successfully. My mistake for not doing enough research in the beginning. Thanks to Brink and Ztruker for their posts.
