    Screensaver problem

I have recently reverted back to W7 from W8 and since then, I have been unable to set up my screensaver settings to (None), but after about 5 minutes of standing idle, the screen goes blank, as if in sleep mode. I have tried selecting from the dropdown menu and setting the timer to 30 mins, but the screen still goes blank after 5 mins.

Can anyone help, please, as it's annoying me?

    Thanks.

Have you tried any of our fine tutorials relating to screensavers?

    Screen Saver - Change

Screen Saver - Allow or Prevent Changing

Also I see you have recently upgraded to 7 from 8 ....... have you ran a sfc/scannow since the change?

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Hi again

Tried the first two suggestions, but the results are just the same. I tried selecting one of the options and set the timer to 59 seconds, restarted my PC and at about 5 minutes, the screen when blank again.

I'm afraid the third suggestion was out of my depth.

Don't know if you have any other suggestions?

Stokkers, have you set the display option in control panel under your power plan?

Press Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings

Change the dropdown for turn off the display

    Hi Dude,

Many thanks for your suggestion. I found that the screen was set to 10 mins, so I've clicked on Never to both options. Nothing else has worked, so trying your suggestion. I know this problem has taken me away from other jobs.

Update: Just been out in the garden for over 10 minutes, came back in and still got my screen open. Will be going out there again in a few minutes, after a Bud, to give my veg plants a soaking - looking a sorry for themselves.

Once again, folks, many thanks for all your help.

    Ken.
