It is a system file. It is supposed to be there. Hide your system files and it won't show. If you don't choose to hide your system files, live with it and ignore it.

Yes I have seen this as well. I was simply able to delete it, as it is actualy a shortcut. All files/folders in the "ready to be burned" folder are nothing more than shortcuts that can safely be deleted. I don't think it matters whether or not system files are being shown or not, this shortcut file will be seen reguardless.

As far as it returning, ....dunno,

The file is a system created file, just the same as seeing a bunch of thumbs.db file in folders and zip files. They are just there and that's that, it's windows. You'll have to manually delete them from your file list before you burn that DVD.

Just curious since your not the OP, why is tat file just now all the sudden bothering you so much? ...nevermind, I'll try and help ya even though I can't duplicate this problem myself.

1. Have you read the contents of the file? ...What does it say, please post.

2. What is the exact path this file is located at? Is it directly located in/on the DVD-rom drive when you have a blank or previously burned CD/DVD in the drive or is it located in the CD Burn "ready to be burned" folder?

3. Is it a shortcut? If it is...

A. right click choose properties, and click "open file location".
B. Where is the file located?
C. It's up to you, but if you believe this file is not needed, delete the file itself and then its shortcut.

It most likely is an autoplay file, but can't be sure until you post the contents of the file.

If you can't get rid of it, just remember life has tons and tons of things that could bother you if you let it, ...If it were on my pc, I wouldn't give 2 cents of shit about it and move on.

...I know, tat file has made you sick, and I've been there myself, ...not about a file that I can't get rid of that doesn't effect my PC's in any way, but other things that a quirky pc can do at times. Best to just move on and enjoy, ...If you can't enjoy, then focus some of that sentiment you have toward that file on something more important like the gulf oil spill. Maybe send a letter or blog on how you feel about that problem (just not in this thread).

Seriously, post replies to the questions asked and we'll continue to work on this if you still would like to pursue the annihilation of tat pain in the ass file.
