Open notepad . Copy and paste the code below into Notepad. To open Notepad, click on . Inside type notepad and then press <ENTER> button .

    Code:
    @Echo off
    pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
    attrib -h -s -r hosts
    echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
    attrib +r +h +s hosts
    popd
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    ipconfig /flushdns
    netsh winsock reset all
    netsh int ip reset all
    cls
    echo Script finished.
    pause
    del %0
In Notepad, click File and then Save. Type reset.bat inside file name section . Change Save as Type to All Files, and then save the file to your desktop. After the file is saved, right click on the RESET.bat choose . Once it's finished running, restart your computer. Check to see if your Internet connection is restored.

What exactly would this do? My internet connection is fine.

Ok you could skip this step .

    Lets run hitman pro .

    Download HitManPro

    64-Bit Version OS HitmanPro_x64

    32-Bit Version OS HitmanPro

    Save to the Desktop

Right click on HitmanPro.exe and choose

When HitmanPro opens up click on Settings uncheck Scan for tracking cookies . Click on OK . Then click on the Next button

Click on No, I only want to perform a one-time scan to check this computer on the Setup page . Click Next once done .

Let it scan the PC once its done Click Next

Click Activate free license to start the free 30 days trial and remove all the malicious files from your computer then click Next

    Upload the log . Locate in C:\ ProgramData\Hitman Pro\Logs

I'd also recommend running a memtest

    RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Note: If any Errors appear . Stop the test and test the memory one at a time on the slots

I am unable to try that ram test at the moment, I've misplaced my flash drive. Hitman didn't show any threats.
I am considering backing up my important files and restarting with just the windows software. I don't have a disc or anything, do you know of a way to do this without a disk?

No. My plan was just to save some things to a protected flash drive and then wipe everything off my laptop but windows.

There is a program out that you could wipe your pc and keep just Windows . Sad thing is I don't remember the name I know it's from white canyon . Other than that you would have to wipe the entire PC including windows and reinstall Windows and install the programs .

Link to program : ( it is not free )

If you want to do some cleanup I'd reinstall Windows and use the Product key under the laptop or battery .
