Win 7 Arrived Today

I was surprised to receive my Windows 7 copy in the post today from PC World. Obviously the strike threat made them post early. :)

You're not the only one! A lot of people have received copies today ahead of the official launch.

Rumours are that they will not activate yet, although I'm not too sure if that's true or not.

They will, because many of us have been activating licenses since the forst week in August. Besides, even if they didn't, you still get your 30 days, that I'd hope everyone takes advantage of, if it is the first time they'd be using Windows 7.

http://www.microsoft.com/genuine installs the Windows Genuine Advantage ActiveX control, but still says that validation for Windows 7 is coming soon.

Windows Seven arrived today for me too. I also ordered from PC World. Fresh install and fully activated
