Alternate keystroke for Windows 7 Start Menu?

I've been using the MicroSoft TrackballOptical for many years and like to configure the wheel button to open the Start Menu. This worked fine on XP since the IntelliPoint software had that as an option, but the new version doesn't. The alternative is to assign it using a keystroke, but when I do that the command (either the dedicated button or Ctrl-Esc) don't work since they execute that command (launching the Start Menu). Any ideas for getting around that?

Okay found a way by using a Macro. I looking into how to add it tho...
I think you have to manually put it: C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Microsoft Hardware\Macros then remove the ".txt" from the end.

Macro did the trick, but I changed it a little using the available macro-editor. Nice utility and GREAT TIP! Thanks!
