I what your describing sounds like sleep mode minus the beeping.
How are you getting that condition?
Are you pressing the hardware power button?
Or shutting down from the Start menu?

What does this option is set to in on your end? :

What motherboard do you have (or what is the exact model number of your OEM system)?
    How many beeps are there?
How long is each one of them?

Does it occur on any other actions?

It only happens when I shutdown or restart from the start menu. In my power settings it is set to shutdown. there are 2 short beeps followed by a pause and this repeats until I press the physical power button and then the computer actually shuts off.

Boot into safe mode and try the same procedure there.
At boot hit the "F8" key continuously.
You will be presented with the "Advanced Boot Options"
    Highlight "Safe-Mode" and hit Enter.
    Post back with results.

How is it fixed if no setting was changed ^^' ?
I'm glad it worked out but I think it might come back, if it does post back here.

(try again just in case, without safe mode this time)
