Windows 7: Can't start pc after putting it to sleep

Win 7 Pro 64-bit 7601

Please make sure you tested your motherboard (+CPU+integrated GPU+1 stick of RAM) with another PSU.
If that fails, the board is dead, as said above.

It's very very rare, but boards can die too (PSU and hard drives die at least 1000 times more frequently imho). Check the capacitors to see if they are damaged (if they are, the capacitor has to be replaced, which involves someone with soldering skills and a new capacitor with the same stats as the dead one. Stats are written on its surface).

Len have you checked out the PSU? as well as reseating everything? You mention no beep mate so maybe the board is not getting enough power.

Try these out be very careful NOT to take the PSU apart and remember correct volts does not necessarily mean correct current (amps).

I've observed twice with windows seven that when i go away from my pc, even though i know the display will convert itself off after a certain amount of moments, when i come back, the display remains dark as if something hassled out.
