    Minimize to Tray on Startup

    Hello,

I have some applications that i run on startup but in windows 7 i cannot find an option to minimze them on start up.

Is there maybe a fix for this it's because i want to autoload them in the background minimized.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

hi wizzard81, and welcome to sevenforums, the place to be,

are you running these programs by placing shortcuts in the startup folder?

if so, right-click on the shortcut >> properties >> on the shortcut tab, you will see a 'Run:' dropdown box - select minimized here.

this will start them minimized to the taskbar - i think the programs need to be rewritten to place themselves in the sytem tray (now called notification area).

    hope this helps!
