    Windows 7 And Missing PDF Pics

    Hi,
    I'm new to this, so I hope someone can help!

    My PDF files had pictures, of what the file was in windows vista, now that I’m running windows 7, the picture on the PDF file has gone. How do I resolve this!

    It would be helpful if you gave a bit more info about your system, as problems pertaining to Acrobat's thumbnail preview are a known issue with workarounds in 64 bit Windows 7. Likewise, Office 2010 can cause this problem as well.

    Give folks a bit more info to go on, such as 32 or 64 bit,, clean install or uprade, and what version (if any) of Office do you have installed?

    It would also be helpful if you'd post what software you have installed for reading PDF (Acrobat, Foxit)?

    Acrobat reader has definite issues in displaying thumbnail images under windows 7, especially x64.

    So far the only viewer I have found to work at all acceptably with x64 and x86 is PDFExchange viewer.

    PDF Software - Free PDF Viewer - PDF Creation Software From Tracker Software - PDF XChange Lite - PDF XChange Standard - PDF XChange Pro

    the viewer is free but other options are commercial.

    You will also probably need to rebuilt the thumbnail cache in windows to ensure all items display

    It's an error on Adobe's part, as they incorrectly register the preview handler. Using Regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Classes\CLSID\{DC6EFB56-9CFA-464D-8880-44885D7DC193}

    Change the AppID value to {534A1E02-D58F-44f0-B58B-36CBED287C7C}
