    differences between RC and Final

Are there any differences between the RC and the Final? Can you buy a license and apply it to the RC or would you just have to reinstall?

One is beta, and one is the final, optimized code. Even if you could buy a license and apply it, you wouldn't want to. At this point, no one should be running the RC anyway, since the RTM trials have been publicly available. Why not evaluate the actual final product?

If you think that you have RTM...... I have my doubts about were it came from.

I was thinking the very same. Considering the OP's question, I would definitely recommend removing that "version" and doing a fresh install with the official RTM disc.
