    Strange windows error 0xc0000225

First of all, hi everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster

I've come up against an issue that I can't solve and none of the other threads with this error code have helped me either. First some background.

I installed Windows 8 to give it a try but after few days decided that I really don't like it. Fired up Clonezilla and restored my Windows 7 Pro x64 image. I've done this before (as this is my 2nd time giving Win8 a chance) and the first time it worked flawlessly.

But this time, after rebooting, I get the 0000225 error. I've tried windows repair 3 times, I've tried bootsect, I've tried going into diskpart and making it active, nothing is working.

I do have the 100mb system partition and I've tried restoring just it and also deleting all partitions on my main drive and restoring again from clonezilla but still the same issue appears.

Here is the kicker though... the reason I am able to post this is because I was able to boot into my Windows 7 install by setting the Windows 7 DVD to be the first one to boot... and when it says "Press any key to boot from DVD" I just let it run out... then it boots just fine, though unauthorized.

Any assistance/tips you can give would be much appreciated. I'd really like to avoid starting over from scratch :)

Well for some reason my BIOS boot order was affected... changed my first drive to be the actual C:\ drive and everything is fine now... strange

Ok mate but I already have to running on my laptop with a Stardock8 that starts up just like 7 and in a tenth of the time (I did an upgrade over a 7) and the boot ties of 6 secs max and shut down in less than it takes to blink your eye has me happy.
