In the "where do you want to install" window I have a choice of formatting the drive)s). Odd that yours does not.

You can down load a bootable partition iso, burn to cd. Partition Magic is what I use.

D/L a Win 7 iso, you have a CoA. A non oem iso may give you a different choice and allow you to format before install.

Looks like you are running the OEM DVD from a booted Windows system. If so then you cannot format, that's like cutting off the limb of the tres you're standing on!

Boot the DVD, then you should have all the options.

Exactly, it even says, "To make changes to partitions, restart windows from the installation disc."

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals.

How to Boot A Computer from CD or DVD - YouTube

During the booted install, select custom then at the drive selection screen to delete all HD partitions to get the cleanest install. You can then create and Format New partition(s) as desired, or just click Next and the installer will create your install partition and begin install.

More tips for how to get a perfect install in the tutorial Rich and Derek linked, including anything you might have forgotten to check one more time before wiping out the old install.
