    32 vs 64 for Windows 7

    Hi

I am going form XP Pro to Windows 7 and I was wondering which is better for compatability staying with the 32 bit or going to 64 bit. I have a Pentium 4 3.0 hz processwor with 4 Gb ram, Chip set is Intel 915P (MCH)and ICG6R. Thanks for the info.

If your CPU can run X64 than go for it.

There's already talk of going 128 in the future.

It appears that the CPU and chip set will handle 64 bit. You will have to do a clean install if your XP is 32 Bit.

You will have to do a clean install if upgrading from XP to ANY version of Win 7.
