    Unauthorized computer shut down after installing updates


    I install some 11 critical window 7 updates. Very shortly thereafter, the computer shut down as if the power had been turned off without logging off windows. Each boot up, it would happen again. I selected a restore point before the updates and all is well. I would like to keep the operating system updated so how do I find the one causing the problem?

    Install them in small groups to isolate group with problem Update, restore and then install those Updates in group singly to isolate the problem Update. A restore point will be set for each.

    Post back the problem Update in our Windows Updates forum, and/or MS Windows Updates support which is free and via email.

Hi, my brand new Asus ultrabook was installing updates, got to 30-40% and the screen turned off. I waited for about 30-40 mins but nothing changed so i turned it off from the button. Tried holding it down several times, and turning it back on and off but nothing changed. I can hear it loads...
