How do I Wake PC from Sleep using Keyboard

    Hello members,

I was wondering how to wake my laptop from sleep using my Bluetooth Logitech K810 keyboard.
Currently, through Device Manager, I do have "Allow this device to wake computer" checked through Power Management for both the keyboard itself and HID Keyboard Device.

What's odd is that I also have my Logitech MX Performance connected via 2.4Ghz and I have the "Allow this device to wake computer" unchecked, but only my mouse wakes my laptop from sleep.

So overall, I disabled my mouse from waking up my laptop and I have enabled my keyboard to wake my laptop from sleep. But the opposite occurs.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You wouldn't be able to have the Bluetooth keyboard wake the system because Windows needs to be running in order for the keyboard to work. Windows is what makes the connection using Bluetooth. So, if it is in Sleep, it wouldn't be able to wake it. The mouse has its own connection to the mouse without the need of software so it is like it is physically connected and therefor it would be able to wake it.

    I hope this makes sense

    Ya, that makes sense. Thanks.
Will I be able to wake my laptop from sleep other than the mouse and opening the lid or pressing the power button? I keep my lid closed and don't want to open it everytime I want to resume from sleep. My setup has my laptop not within reach and this can be a slight inconvience for me.

Enable them both to wake the computer and see if that helps. How to you see the monitor with the lid closed?

I use the "projector only" option on my Vaio.

And enabling both doesn't work either...Thanks for the suggestion!

Is there perchance a sleep key on your keyboard (half moon icon)?

I'm curious why the projector setting instead of External monitor. Try the settings for this both in Windows and your video card or chip. Both should be on the rightclick context menu when you click on empty area of desktop.

If no other solution then use the mouse. Why is this undesireable? It's good it works.
