    It's gunna suck going back to windows 7


    LOL, i've been using linux for about 3-4 months, I've been over here at the forums and it's been a bit trick helping people out since i can't open up something and give people clear instructions from right in front of me, instead, i gotta look up pics to look at so i can tell people what to click LOL, so that won't be a problem and will help ALOT.
    But its gunna be weird switching from linux to windows 7 when i get a new laptop, I swear ima be terribly confused lol. "WHY CAN'T I DO THIS FROM COMMAND PROMPT!!!!!! Oh, yeah, this is windows..." LOL, wish me luck guys!

    Just use vmware in linux. Keep the OS you love and can still help others out.

    Nope, This is my EMERGENCY COMPUTER, that means it's a sucky netbook, 1.6 dual core with 2gb ram :) LOL, it'd be a bit slow..

    Although 3-4 months isn't a long time I'm wondering what you were using before then ?
    Windows can be like riding a bike/ wear your helmet and after a while it grows on you :)

    oh, i was using windows 7, i just have to get used browsing and everything, windows and linux are completely differant platforms.
    I wanted to learn linux, so on my netbook i set it up (one reason because it worked better on the netbook) and promised myself if my laptop broke i'd make myself learn linux LOL, so the 3-4 months has been quite a ride for me learning linux and everything :)

I wrote about my process of enabling AHCI here. And here is the increased speed I got after finally getting it done. Why is it do slow?
Why do so many forums and or application forms have spell checkers that don't recognize the correct spelling of many words? It really grinds my gears. For example the word "pedophilic". According to various dictionary sites that is a correct spelling. Is it adjectives that these spell checkers...
I have only had one legitimate response. The rest has been trolls sending me links to click under some bs guise to confirm if it's the same product they're looking for. Or they ask for other info that they don't need to make a purchase. Man it's really aggravating.
I am using Netflix and Hulu and I also have some Xvid movies on my machine. When I watch them on the PC I have a 4890 Quad Core 3.2 with 8gb ram the quality of the images looks pixelated on the computer screen. However if I stream this over Playon or through my game console PS3 and 360 on...
