restart your computer and keep pressing f8 and select startup repair, see if you can do that now
if this doesn't work, we'll look at gregrockers tutorial
okay it said if i recently plugged in a device remove it before continuing.
the name of the device was harddisk0.. didnt give location, but when i ran tdsskiller it located that file and i deleted it.
but startup would nto work because of that
would these commands help any?
Once in, enter the following commands:
bootrec /fixmbr
followed by:
bootrec /fixboot
wait, you can, or cant get into it?
I don't think bootrec will help i this situation
go to gregs tutorial and try what he has, i gotta go, I'll be back later tonight

thanks for all you done we can resume later or tomorrow.. ill do some side research.. going to try hirens boot cd and repair some stuff and see if that helps
startup repair doesnt work.. doing a chkdsk from boot and its running even though screen is stuck.. going to let it run till tomorrow to make sure i don't interupt it at all
hmm seems like you have been very busy the chksdsk I would have thought have been done a LONG time ago and FWIT is worth and my opinion at that is maybe Sev you should have booted a Ubuntu OS retrieved all the data you wanted to an external and the done a clean install - but who am I??
Those ADW report should have been dealt with many moons ago too they come up for a reason - to be got rid of but again who am I to suggest such things
He could also try running avast boot scan on his computer which runs before the computer even boots up that might find the problems and fix them
