    Hi,

Firstly lease put the hammer away :) as it is not required to fix your computer

Turn off power and check all cable connections, expansion cards etc, inside the tower
are secure. Also check mains cable as if loose may cause this type of issue.
Then power up the computer and check all fans are spinning, especially the CPU fan?

    1. Does the issue exist in Safe-mode?

    2. If you haven't tried already, please boot into Advanced Boot Options
and choose "Last know good configuration". Does the problem remain?

    3. You should be able to scan the system for viruses using Windows Defender Offline

    4. Run SFC to check the integrity of all Windows 7 system files:
    • Click on Start > Type in search cmd
Right-click cmd after results are displayed and Run as Administrator
Type SFC /scannow at the prompt
(Note: There is a space between SFC and /scannow)
    SFC Tutorial

       Note
Select option two. If any problems are found, run the scan 3 times and immediately
reboot the computer after each scan.

Try the above items in order, we can go your pace,
if you need any assistance along the way, let me know.

    cheers

    Dave
