    Error Codes / Fix It...???

I'm all Fingers & Toes when it comes to my Computer Illiteracy... My Computer is strictly for Home Use only and had just switched from a Laptop to Reconditioned Tower mfg. by Dell..I'm using a Samsung monitor and Wireless Keyboard & Mouse.. The unit came with Windows 7 Professional installed...My Virus protector is the Free Avast Home Edition.. Up till a couple weeks ago my Son had been using the Computer and had left some Surprises...So I promptly removed some items...

Now here lies the problem which may have been self induced..The Computer is set for Automatic Updates, there is a fly in the ointment if you will as there has been some Failed Updates..I've gotten 2 Error Codes #80071A91 & #80070643.... Is there a Free Fix It out there that I could safely follow the prompts without causing myself any more Grief....That is All..Thank You

    Hi NorPlan,

You should follow the steps mentioned by ThrashZone to resolve this issue. However, did you clean installed the windows once you receive this system.

As this issue could be occurring due either windows not installed properly or some malware, virus infection earlier on the system.

It is always advisable to do a fresh install of windows once you receive the system to ensure there are no failures in near future. Check this article if you wish to do the same in near future:

    Clean Install Windows 7
