If you know how to take it apart there should be a small silver battery that looks like a watch battery but its about the size of a quarter. Pull it out and put it back in.. But this will also clear the BIOS settings.
Contact the manufacturer and be prepared to prove ownership. Unlike in desktops, BIOS passwords are not stored in the CMOS so clearing it will accomplish nothing.
IN MSI site, in BIOS download section, there is an update for my notebook saying:
1. Radio Switch device only exists for Windows 8.
2. Solve the problem of abnormal password window when first boot priority is IP4/IP6,.
3. Solve the problem of abnormal problem of resume from S4 after disable/enable Full Screen Logo Display.
4. Solve abnormal Nvidia GPU frequency problem.
What does it mean the point 2?
What makes you think the BIOS is passworded? A brand new out of the box PC should not have a BIOS password. And as mentioned, removing the BIOS/CMOS battery will not reset the BIOS password on a laptop. It's stored differently than on a desktop PC and its done that way on purpose. Its to make it as hard as possible to bypass the password in case your laptop is lost or stolen.
No ways to remove the password without returning it?
A BIOS password on a laptop is a security measure. If it were easy to remove it would serve no purpose. Contact the manufacturer. No ways to remove the password without returning it?
