My Sony laptop is behaving strange

I wander if 2.2 will accept my licence key. Is there any chance I can pull it off the restore discs. From pressing the power button to being in my profile took 48 seconds, not bad at all.

Download the 2.2 version and see what happens when you enter the key. I would think 2.2 is just an update/bug fix.

I'm not sure what kind of restore discs you have, but if you backed up the Lightroom application you got from Adobe, you should be able to retrieve it. The files that were in your Program Files folder will be of no use.
