    Multiple browser windows opening in windows 7


    For last some many days i am facing problem of multiple browser windows opening continues.

    I was using microsoft securitie essisential as antivirus software.

    Steps i did to solve problem.

    1. Formated my hdd serveral times, problem still persist.
    2. Downloaded malware and antivirus softwares still problem persist.
    3. Tried to install windows 8, but still problem persist.
    4. Change registry setting, still the same.
    5. Changed RAM still the same.

    I tried a lot, and getting frustrated, thought of posting this problem, if anyone of you having solution please do let me know.

    Hi ashkichambare, Welcome to Sevenforums.

    As you mentioned that you have already formatted, cleaned your hard disk several times, still the issue persist.

    May I ask you how much HDD you have? Reason being, even after formatting the drive the infected part can still be present in a form of a folder, file or program that you copy back when the formatting is complete. I will suggest you to copy the data to a different HDD (you can borrow it from your friends). Then, format the drive and copy back the data.

    I also see that you are using Chrome. Uninstall that and download the latest one and install it.

    Thank you for repling, archer.

    I have 500GB hdd, i am not copying any file or folder. my lappy is totally empty.
    When i do formatting and start to install windows again. After installing, internet explorer pop up several times.
    I am not installing any other software nothing. plain windows 7 home premium version.

    You can try to install different Win 7 on your laptop. Borrow it from your buddies.

    run a SFC Scannow and reboot if integrity violations are found. Below is the link to the tutorial
    SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Use Spybot S&D to check for Malwares. I use it and find the best malware removal software.

    Has anyone solved this problem (multiple browsers)


    I am facing exact same issue.

    -Formatted my hard disk
    -Used MalwareBytes

    problem still persists
