Windows 7 just randomly decided to mess about with my profile

    Hello.

So, I went on my computer and I am the only account, therefore an administrator. I typed in my password, I logged in and it took longer to load and showed me a message saying "preparing your desktop", which I had never seen before. So I waited, I was logged in and weird things happen. The little info said something about my account was logged in as a user, so I'm not an administrator and I'm the only account. Some of my icons were messing, some weren't, and I had a black background.

Today, nothing is different except I have the windows 7 standard wallpaper. I restarted, logged out back in, etc still the same, I have bullguard, malware bytes and comdo. When I press f8, the run windows in options don't come up, since I have a gaming pc. Instead there's this option where the megabytes are like 9038339373 and I think that may be my one. I used it, and it was still the same.

I'm stuck so far.., any help?
    Thank you for reading

Hello Carpet, and welcome to Seven Forums.

It sounds like your user profile is corrupted. Was this the error message you got below?
"Your user profile was not loaded correctly! You have been logged on with a temporary profile."
If so, then you might see if the tutorial below may be able to help with it. Be sure to read all of it for all available options.
    Hope this helps, :)

Thank you for the fast reply and warm welcome

    I will read that now

Btw, why does a corrupted profile happen? What's wrong, etc

    Cheers

Unfortunately, there's a number of things that could corrupt a user profile. Anything from a mistake made by the user (ex: directly renaming user profile folder) to bad sectors on the HDD where the profile is stored at, etc....

Oh yeah, it doesn't give me the option to boot in safe mode

    I have a custom built
If I repeatedly press f8 it gives me options in a grey box to choose from. The are 4. One is Realtek adapter so I can't boot in safe mode.

I didn't have much 'good things' on this profile

    Cheers

Also, I made an administrator account on my other admin account

You would be able to do the tutorial to attempt to fix the corrupted account while logged in to your other administrator account if you liked.
