Control Panel - Indexing options - button not operational

    Dear Forum,

I am in the process of checking that my devices and that when i go to my control panel - when i go to select - Indexing options - it will not let me.

It will let me operate all the rest of the items - but just that button.

I have operated SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker - and there was no result.

    can anyone suggest any fixes?

    Hi :) ,
A little more information will be helpful.
What is happening after you click it?

I click it and it looks like it is going to process the function - turns green.

I can constantly keep clicking on it - to no affect. I read the forums here to troubleshoot any issues - here is what I received. I am sorry for the lack of information. Very sick and tired.

    Get well :) .

According to the screenshot you have a CHKDSK pending, are you being prompted with a request to let it run at boot?

What is happening when you click the indexing icon at the control panel?
Does the indexing window look like this?

I click on the option to open the way that windows searches to open the indexing window that you have put up. I can not access that window

When you open the word document that I attached you will see that is all i am getting on my computer.

I am so confused on what i have to do.

I am saying that I am not receiving the option to go to the re-indexing window or anything. I used to be able to access this

I also noticed that I am receiving the message Windows host process Rundll32 down the bottom in the notification area - would that have anything to do with this issue
