Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file

    Help!

I've just done a fresh install of windows 7 on one of my computers to pass over to my sister as a gift. I set it all up at mine, updated all drivers and created an image thinking it was all ready to go...i was wrong.

I unplugged the pc, took it over to hers, plugged it in and it configured some recent updates. Once it finally loaded i try and access anything and it gives me the message in the subject title - no additional programs will run or load including firewall, anti virus, steam.

I cant even access the system restore as it gives the same message.

I thought that maybe a drive had come loose during the move but they show up and are browseable so i guess not.

I've read it could be malware but i ran malwarebytes full scan before disconnecting from the network and it showed all clear.

Any ideas? Could it be that i've not connected it to the network at her house or is that too simple?
