3 issues producing a 'has stopped working' error message

    Hi,

I receive some variation on the same error message when trying to perform three different tasks. Here is a screenshot of one of the versions:

This one turns up when I attempt to uninstall certain programs, such as Delta Toolbar. Possibly connected to this is an inability to uninstall AVG Security Toolbar - it doesn't prompt an error message, but nothing happens.

I get a similar error message when trying to open Internet Explorer: 'Internet Explorer has stopped working' etc. lastly, the same happens when I try to open Skype.

I have made sure that I have the latest updates and ran antivirus scans and Windows Defender, but the problems persist. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

One more thing: I noticed there are some old threads reporting the 'Internet Explorer has stopped working' error message, but in those cases it seems to have worked anyway, while producing the error message. None of the programs I try to open work.

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums ... Your first steps should be .. Read the Link below and follow the Instructions step by step.. After doing that then Uninstall your AV .. I would suggest using MSE .. If you still have issues after doing the above .. Make a new thread under System and Security ..

    Remove Delta Toolbar (Removal Guide)

    Thanks Maxie,

I'm afraid I can't perform the procedures you suggested, as the Delta uninstall prompts the error message above, and the AVG uninstall does nothing. I'll repost the thread, as you suggested.
