I am unable to run most of the .exe files I download.

    It still doesn't work guys, if you have any other suggestions feel free, but I'm beginning to think it's the files themselves.

    hmm, do you still get the error after renewing the file association, or do you get a differant error, or no error at all?

    I basically got no errors at all except "*** Has stopped responding, windows is searching for a solution"

    Well, my troubleshooting doesn't work, so I've assumed this doesn't work either, because it never finds anything.

    hmm, download rougekiller, and run a scan with it (if you can) DO NOT CLEAN THE FILES IT FINDS. then post the log it creates by clicking the report section :)

    Decertilation I have read your posted logs; that is a bunch of junk.
    If it was my computer I would run AdwCleaner again and remove all that junk.
    I suggest also doing a complete updated scan with your anti virus and then I would do this if it was my computer.

    Trying to fix a computer with problems like you are having must start with a clean (no infections or PUP's) computer.

    yeah, do another scan with ADWCleaner, and follow Bears advice after I look at rougeKiller
