    Windows 7 Open License

    Hi Folks,

    I have a licensing question.

I often do contract work for a company that has an Open Windows 7 License. They have offer to upgrade me to 7. I believe that the license is only for the x64 version, but is there a way to verify that? My laptop is x86 and I wanted to make sure I can use their license before upgrading...

Is there a tool or a website you can go and enter a license key and have it list the details / limitations of the license?

    Thanks,
    Josh

    Hi Josh...Welcome to the forums...

I know that the offer is tempting, but it is piracy plain and simple... why not either purchase a legitimate copy, or download an evaluation copy -=> here

No and technically this company is in violation of their EULA lincensing agreement.. Even though you do contract work for them your computer is not a company computer for which the license was issued for.Buy your own copy. ( slow on the draw again ahh Tews)
