Preventing PC Usage Between Certain Hours: How ?

    Hello,

Is there something in W7, or might I need a separate program from somewhere, to prevent
usage of my desktop PC between certain hours ?

What's the best way, to do this, please ?

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Use windows family safety.

Those links will give you all the information you need. It's very simple to set up, I just gave you multiple links so you have a good amount of information on what you can and cannot do before proceeding.
When you start the windows live essentials installer, choose select which products you want installed. If you only want family safety only choose that one.

    Hello Bob,

If you like, you could also set up the included Parental Controls in Windows to limit computer usage with time limits for standard user accounts.

    Hope this helps. :)

Also you could consider locking it in a box. I would, however, make sure there were plenty of air holes for cooling. :)

@brink. Say what? I thought that was only in vista. Man, there goes me thinking I know everything again

    Just kidding

I thought vista had that built in, and windows live family safety is what you needed on seven to get the features back. But now I realize thats the web reporting and stuff. The time limits are built in.

    Thanks brink :)

    LOL, no problem.

In Windows 8, Parental Controls has been replaced by Family Safety though.
