Hi there ... There is plenty of Information about it Online .. Plus a few threads on here . Have a Look below
can anyone fill me in on the Raspberry Pi?
The 256M or 512M refers to the on board RAM (non-upgradeable). As far as storage, they use an SD card slot as the boot drive so it depends on how large of an SD card you use. It has USB so you can expand storage that way or it can access network drives which means it essentially has limitless storage.
I have a 256M model. I have tried it with the Rasbian OS as well as with XMBC. My take on it is that it works very well at what it was designed for, a learning computer for school students but is way too underpowered to be good at anything else. I played with it when I first got it but now it sits in the drawer unused.
You can buy Android mini-PC sticks that plug into an HDMI port of a TV for around the same cost that are much more powerful than the Pi. Amazon.com: android mini pc
ok thanks i saw some were used as for media purposes. It seems that they are small and compact and would be perfect but if they lack in power then there is no use for it. i saw on youtube some people where using this OS in their cars verses windows , andriods or apple OS.
