    startrep.exe application error


    while i was trying to repair my w7

    at the startup repair

    i got this strangest of all

    message , i cant find any info about this

    is this time to buy a new mikey or is this ballmer latest poisonous gift ???

    What was the initial problem that required a repair install?

    Just a blinkin cursor and nothing else

    No boot at all


    Ive been workong on this problem for over a week now and going bazurk

    Repairs dont work

    Download MemTest86, create a bootable disk and boot from that. It will run automatically and check your memory for you, let it run for at least ten passes unless it finds problems before that.

    Please also fill in your system specs so we have an idea of what hardware we're actually trying to diagnose.

    i have just done memtest


    no errors

    after a bit of dos code putiing in i got this result

    and at startup an empty white space with no operationg system to start.
    It is still there, I checked but it doesnt show ???

    Please help

    And you can't run repair from your Windows disc?

    It sounds like your hard drive is bad. Have a read through Step 9 of Gregrocker's Troubleshooting Windows 7 tutorial.
