Desktop icons not equal on left of screen compared to right of screen

    Did you try adjusting it in Catalyst Control Center?

    Most of the shortcuts on my desktop are for files being worked on now, doc and pdf files, folders and etc. I also have my drives on it since I go to them often and don't like the 3 steps necessary to do so via the start menu. On my desktop is the software I use often, Photoshop, browsers, MediaMonkey etc. But you you did make a good point. I never had considered placing other stuff there as well. Folders are not a good idea since these shortcuts are sometimes used with "Save As/In" and Explorer would not show them in such a case but others may be put there as well. Thanks fr the idea. Nevertheless, there are still enough of them 25 + on the left and 16 on the right to want me to fix this as originally asked.
