    Which Version of Windows 7

I am considering upgrading my PC to Windows 7 64bit Home Premium to avail of the full 4mb of ram. If I buy a Windows 7 Upgrade disc will it allow me to install the 64bit version even though the current install is Vista 32bit Home Premium?:)

    Hi fixerman,

Yes, that should be possible - see Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version for instructions. However, you need to be aware that it must be a clean installation as you cannot directly upgrade a 32-bit OS to a 64-bit one (or vice-versa). You also need to ensure that you have 64-bit drivers available for your system.

Thanks Dwarf. Is it possible to install Windows 7 64 bit on an external Esata drive and keep Vista on the "C" drive?
